Friends of Gloss Angeles,

As some of you know, I’ll be walking from Malibu to Monterey in late September – it’s approximately a 250-mile trek.

It’s going to be an incredible journey and I’m even more excited to say I’ll be helping support children who are trying to live healthier & stronger lives.

The indiegogo campaign is simply to help with my journey essentials. If any funding goes unused, it will be donated to Kids in Sports Los Angeles.

Lastly, please don’t feel like you have to donate. I only ask that you share the link with others. And even better, if you’d like to join me on any part of the journey, hit me up…I’d love the company!

Thanks for spreading the good word! xo

NEW OBSESSION: Greek Fro-Yo

15 Feb

GoGreek kids

I know I don’t cover much in the way of dining… let’s just say my food palate isn’t as colorful as my shadow palettes! In any case, frozen yogurt is totally a meal in my book.

Having admitted that, I am obsessed (no, really!) with the latest fro-yo spot to hit Beverly Hills: GoGreek Yogurt.

I won’t go into all the nutritional aspects. You can check out the site for that stuff. But I will say that it’s ah-mazing! Their farm-to-table toppings are the ones we’ve been waiting for. Can you say Chia seeds, cacao chips, flaxseed?!

You can choose from traditional Greek Yogurt or their Greek Frozen Yogurts aka my latest loves. All are flown in directly from Greece.

Each of the 4 (or 5?) flavors is uniquely delectable, but both the Honey and Chocolate are to-die-for. I’ve actually driven far outta my way to pick some up after work – and that speaks volumes in Los Angeles.

Grab some this holiday weekend!

The Color of 2014: Radiant Orchid

6 Dec

pantone-color-of-the-year-2014-radiant-orchidSay goodbye to your green pants and mango lipsticks. Well in theory… if you actually care about this stuff!

Wanna know what color you’ll be sick of by this time next year?

Pantone, the global authority on everything hue-related, announced this week that PANTONE 18-3224 Radiant Orchid will be the color of 2014.

I’m personally not a huge purple fan (except during Laker games) but it’ll be nice to see less emerald shades around town.

Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, describes the color choice. “An enchanting harmony of fuchsia, purple and pink undertones, Radiant Orchid inspires confidence and emanates great joy, love and health. It is a captivating purple, one that draws you in with its beguiling charm.”

Sounds good, right? Perhaps I’ll invest in a gloss.

Radiant Ordchid meets Beauty.

The color Radiant Orchid gives the complexion a healthy glow. Somewhere between lavender and purple, Radiant Orchid is a blend of cool and warm undertones, so it should be universally flattering. G’head, try it out the next time you’re at Sephora.

For those feeling bold, the color plays well against shades of orange and red. For the less adventurous, pair it up with pinks and other shades of lighter or deeper purple.

When wearing it on the lips, keep eyes soft or smoky and cheeks pearly. Benefit has the best highlighters around! Check out High Beam for cheek bones and let orchid be your primary pop of color.

Here’s to joy, love and health in 2014!

Hollywood Goes Vegas

14 Jan

I swear I’m not a hater. I love a good fashion risk.

But last Imagenight’s Golden Globes gowns were beyond disappointing. What’s with so many  gorgeous girls wearing garb that best resembles what my grandmother used to pack for her Ladies’ Weekends at Caesars Palace?

Who said it was okay for the season’s most fun awards show to go gawdy?

On the flip side –in my opinion- Megan Fox, Katharine McPhee, Allison Williams, Salma Hayek  and Kerry Washington brought good ol’ fabulous Hollywood glam to the red carpet.

Okay, rant over.Image

…but pregnant or not, are peplums really a thing again?

Okay NOW it’s over.
